User Dashboard Overview

What Is the User Dashboard?

The User Dashboard is the new homepage in Land Insights. When you log in, this is the first screen you’ll see. You can also access it anytime by clicking the Land Insights logo or selecting Dashboard from the top navigation menu.

The dashboard is designed to:

  1. Help new users get onboarded faster

  2. Provide quick access to commonly used tools and recent activity

  3. Surface helpful education, FAQs, and next steps based on your plan


Dashboard Layout

The User Dashboard is divided into three main areas:

  • Main Content Area – Tutorials, recent activity, and plan-specific tools

  • Right Sidebar (Quick Help) – FAQs and educational resources

  • Bottom Sections – Progress tracking, upgrades, and community engagement


Plan-Based Learning & Tutorials

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll see guided tutorials tailored to your current plan (Light, Starter, or Pro). These include a mix of videos and knowledge base articles so you can learn in the format you prefer.

Examples include:

  • How to Export Data – Step-by-step walkthrough from start to finish

  • How to Comp a Deal – Includes an example property you can practice with

  • Finding Strong Markets (Pro) – Market research walkthrough

  • Selling Deals Quickly – Covers the agent database and drone photo tool

Tutorials and videos adjust based on your plan and may also highlight features available in higher tiers.


Smart Upsells by Plan

The dashboard intelligently introduces features from higher plans:

  • Light Plan

    • Shows Starter plan capabilities

    • Teases tools like comping (with upgrade prompts)

  • Starter Plan

    • Highlights Pro features

    • Displays usage limits (e.g., comp report limits)

  • Pro Plan

    • Offers upgrade to Unlimited Data with one-click checkout

Upgrade prompts clearly explain benefits and guide you through the upgrade flow.


Frequently Asked Questions (Right Sidebar)

Each plan includes custom FAQs to help users get started quickly.

Examples include:

  • How to organize marketing campaigns

  • How to use specific tools effectively

  • Common workflow questions

FAQs link directly to knowledge base articles and are updated per plan.


Recent Activity & Quick Access

The dashboard saves you time by giving you one-click access to recent work:

Depending on your plan, you may see:

  • Recent Exports – Download your last exports instantly

  • Recent Comp Reports – Open recently created reports

  • Saved Parcel Filters – Load commonly used filters directly into the data platform

  • Saved Markets – Jump back into bookmarked counties in Market Research

These shortcuts reduce clicks and help you resume work faster.


Marketing Goals & Progress Tracking

The dashboard includes a Monthly Marketing Goal tracker to help you stay accountable.

You can:

  • See your progress toward your monthly goal

  • Compare time elapsed vs. results achieved

  • Update your goal at any time

This feature is designed to create momentum and encourage consistent action.


Product Strategy Calls (Pro Users)

Pro users will also see an invitation to Live Product Strategy Calls, where you can:

  • Submit questions ahead of time

  • Get answers live from the team

  • Learn best practices and product updates

A link on the dashboard takes you to a short form where you can submit your questions.
