If your exported APN numbers look incomplete (for example, missing zeros at the beginning), don’t worry — this isn’t a bug. It’s a formatting issue caused by Google Sheets automatically converting numbers when you open your export file.
Follow these simple steps to make sure your APN numbers appear correctly:
🪜 Step-by-Step Guide
Open a new blank spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
Click File → Import → Upload.
Choose the file you exported from Land Insights.
In the Import settings window:
Uncheck the box labeled “Convert text to numbers, dates, and formulas.”
⚠️ This step is very important — leaving it checked is what causes the missing or shortened APN numbers.
Click Import Data.
Once your file loads, your APN numbers will now appear complete and correctly formatted (including leading zeros).
🧠 Why This Happens
Google Sheets automatically tries to “simplify” numbers by removing what it thinks are unnecessary zeros. APN numbers are identifiers, not mathematical values — so when Sheets converts them, it ends up cutting off digits.
By unchecking that box, you’re telling Google Sheets to treat the APNs as text, preserving the full value exactly as exported from Land Insights.
